OHIO Crankshaft

I know they aren't a Bryant but do they hold up ok or not, looking at putting a low dollar deal together for a friend of mine and was unsure wether to buy one or look for a second hand Bryant or similar. Any input ?

I have been very happy with the longevity of the cranks and service from the guys. We now have 3 of them. We did have one where the machinists got in a hurry grinding and our local machine shop had to fix it up.
Our BBC's are from 1500HP-1700+ and I try and get as close to the rev limiters on every pass which is set at 8700RPM (9000 for 2010).

If it would sway your opinion I could send you pictures of what's left of our motor after a crank with 3 runs on it breaks in half.......

 

Trust me buy as good a crank as you can put ur hands on i also have pics of the damage a broke crank can do i saved the valve covers

 

I agree as good a crank as you can put ur hands !! but if you buy a Callies blower crank I think you will be very happy I have put together blown BBC about 2200 HP with used bryant cranks ,,,,,,, they are for sale for a reason ,,, most guys know how many passes they get out of one at 3000 HP so they will take it out before it brakes and in my opinion at that point for your $1800 it is not as good as a new Callies but I would not use an OHIO Crankshaft for this app.
