I am working on a car with an Oberg oil filter. It currently has inlet on one end and outlet on the other. There are 2 holes on each side I asume I can use any of them. I want to run both lines from the same side and before I mess something up I thought I'd ask
    Thanks Kent

Is the Oberg labeled as to the inlet and the outlet? There is a difference because of the oil bypass in the middle of one side of the Oberg. The inlet has to be on one half of the case without the little ball bearing in the middle and the out has to be on the side of the case that has the small ball bearing in it. This way if something for some reason blocks the screen then the high pressure pushes the ball bearing in against a spring and let oil flow. Does that match your Oberg?

    Oberg filter

Only follow the stamped arrows for flow (in or Out). You can plumb it on either side or same side ,as long as you follow the arrow and the two lines will be one on each plate(half) .

The only thing to wath is the filter element , as it comes in many sizes( 2,10,30 microns) and using the wrong one will restrict flow. Hope this helps!

Thanks I did see that if you took it apart it would be two seperate halves and looked to me that it had two inlet ports (one on each end of that half) and two outlet ports ( one on each end of that half). But before I just asumed you could use any of the ports I thought I better check. Basically I want to put two fittings on one side next to one another and plug the two ports next to one another on the other side. What screen should be used for 60-70 wht oil?

    oberg

check with oberg on the correct screen . I use to work on supermodified circle burners and saw a guy use an oberg filter on his oil system with a filter screen for alcohol ! Guess how well that worked trying to pump 50w oil thru it!

If Oberg makes it you need a screen that is 80-100 microns.
