NRE, Manton, BAE, Clearence Problem

    Has anyone had this same problem? I bought New NRE X1 heads, Manton rocker assemblies and BAE magnesium Valve Covers along with the Reduced size Manton spark plug tubes. The problem I now have (after being told this stuff would all work together and solve all my problems) is the BAE valve covers will not fit on to the heads as the narrowed spark plug tube hits the exhaust rocker shaft. Has anyone else run this combination and had it work. I was told I would have to buy a different brand valve cover but I will not do this as I have 3 set of BAE's allready.     Rich,
    I have heard a lot of people with that rocker assembly say they have had that same problem. The plugs on the rocker shafts hit the covers. as far as the tubes, everyone i know of using his rockers uses his tubes.

    the problem is not with the NRE heads we have run BAE6 and NRE and have the same problem with both heads and iv used both tubes the manton tubes are a little slimmer due to their construction, biggest problem we had was the MSD plug wire ends need "fettling" to go down the slimmer tube and likewise the tube needs marking where it hits and we just hit the tube with a softback, with the bae tubes a well placed dent cures the problem, its just that the manton rockers are a different design than Brads so they do hit the tubes, iv been running this stuff for 3 years (2 years on the NRE heads) and its always been the same we just ignore it now,
    we run this combo with the reid exhaust rocker arms NRE cast BAE covers manton stands/shafts/intake rockers and apart from what i said no problems
