New Nostalgia Drag Racing Series Debuts

Indianapolis, IN. – July 12, 2006 – The Nostalgia Pro Comp Association (NPCA) opens their season at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis (ORP) on Saturday July 22 and Sunday July 23 with the inaugural NPCA Summer Nationals. The first event in the four race series, the Spring Nationals was scheduled for April 22 and 23, but was cancelled due to inclement weather. The NPCA Summer Nationals will feature Front Engine Dragsters, Pre 1980 bodied Funny Cars, Altereds, and two Gasser classes, all running in the six to eight second zone at over 200 mph on the fabled quarter mile in Indy. There is also a Cruise-In scheduled for any and all street rod enthusiasts. The remaining schedule is slated for another two day event at ORP, the Fall Nationals which is to be held September 9 and 10. The Finals will be run at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL. on September 23 in conjunction with Rick Krafft’s Match Race Mania event.
