I would think this to be good news for those who race Alky cars, or at least the dragsters, given that the IHRA doesn't have a class for them in their national events.

I like Norwalk, worked the IHRA national events there last week and last year. Climbing all of those stairs to race control several times a day isn't what I'd call fun, but next year, they'll have an elevator. WooHoo! :) ...and I can see it now. When it gets easy to "climb the mountain", I won't get assigned to the events. :p

I have nothing but the utmost respect for the Bader family, and I'm confident they'll continue to do it right, particularly where the sportsman racers are concerned.

It should be very interesting to see how the Norwalk sportsman racers react to this. Most have ben very, very loyal to IHRA. Will they move to Mansfield not too far away? Also note National Trail is remaining an NHRA track... meaning their normal racers are unlikely to come the hour plus drive up to Norwalk. Now add to this whole mix Evan Knoll supposedly bought 270 acres in "mid Ohio" to build a track. And that Knoll just purchased bader's 25% stake in IHRA and is rumoured to be doubling pro purses. Next spring shall be very, very interesting to say the least.

As to T/A cars.... Norwalk is extremely good news for Div. 3 racers. This track HOOKS. Maybe they will move the St. Louis race there. And maybe they'll include T/A at the Spring's again.

i heard the spring nats are going to norwalk next year
do you think they will run the alky cars there
not sure there is enough room for all to be there
i am sure this event will happen, (my opinion is) but no alky cars
