Has anyone used, or is using noise canceling headphones? I've seen the Bose and Audio Technicas for commuting. How do they work around TF/TA?

Those are okay depending on the application.

I use Shooting Range Headphones that reduce everything 30 plus db which is very sufficient and they cost about $30 at Sears.

I've found these to really work the best over all the gimicky things.

I have the Bose QuietComfort 2's. Love em! I plugged them into my iPod and wore them on the starting line while the Alky's were running and they still sounded awesome. Got mine on eBay for a little over $200. You'll enjoy them even more on a plane!
