I just bought a 38' gooseneck(30' on floor) to replace my old tag and now I have to get it setup. The trailer is bare inside other than 6-12 volt lights and lots of E-Track tie downs. I have a bunch of questions if you guys could help out? I picked up a 6' roll cab 11 drawer tool box,2'x2'x78" tall closet, and 8' overhead cabinet from a local trailer supply to start out and will be buying some wheelwell cabinets also.

Should I keep the E-Track on the floor or tear in out and put 4 d-rings to tie the car down?

What should I install for 110 volt inside lights and ouside work lights?

What flooring? Lino? rubber coin? paint with aluminum checkerplate?

Take the e-track out and install d-rings, otherwise you will be tripping over the e-track all the time.
For inside lites, use 48" florecents with plastic covers and 500 watt halogens on the out side.
We like using commercial grade carpet, easy on the slicks, nice when you have to lay down to hook up the car, comfortable when you are working in the trailer, looks nice ,easy to clean and easy to replace, if it gets to dirty after a few years.
e-mail me at rattler7010@yahoo.com and I will take phots if you want.

    trailer crunch

one of the easiest and stupid ideas i had was to put a halogen driving light at the back of the trailer pointing down to the ground from the top of the trailer. when i back up late at night i turn the light on and can see everything around the rear of the trailer and no more knocking fences down or listening to people that cant direct you right. has saved me tons of agravation late at night! a good set of aluminum steps helps too. yes, the halogen outside lights work great, the more the better ! i would invest in a double lock system you can lock it from inside, or a good alarm also. everybodys crap is getting ripped off lately, and that includes the truck its attatched too!

I was talking to another racer that has 2- 500watt halogens buckets on his trailer and didn't like them because he couldn't get the light pointed were he needed it? I'll pull that E-track off the floor and install D-rings. I was thinking about a alarm also who sells them?
