Introducing The Texas Blown Fuel Association
All Blown, All Heads Up, All Out!

Texas has been a hot spot for the sport of drag racing for many decades in all forms. From NHRA and IHRA National Events to some of the baddest heads up outlaw racing on the scene with Outlaw Fuel Altereds and Outlaw Pro Mods. In 2010, a new program will hit the strips of the region bringing with it a field of all blown front engine dragsters, altereds and nostalgic funny cars. The Texas Blown Fuel Association, formed by Rick Grindstaff, Keith Breazeal and Chris Graves, will focus on putting on a memorable show for fans via long smoky burnouts and all blown heads up drag racing.
The TBFA series will use NHRA’s Nostalgia Eliminator rules as a guideline with reasonable enforcement during it’s first season. The idea is to have as many cars as possible, not to limit racers from competing over rule complications, except in regards to safety. Rule questions and comments can be directed to Rick Grindstaff or Keith Breazeal while event procedures and public relations inquiries can be answered by Chris Graves.
“The idea of TBFA is to go fast, but have reasonable costs associated with Drag Racing. TBFA was established with this purpose in mind. The other motive behind TBFA is for community outreach. We are believers in helping folks less fortunate than ourselves and want to give back something to the community. We will be donating any left over proceeds to the Shriners Burn Hospitals. They treat children with critical care needs at no cost to the families. We are also asking our track operators to get into the spirit of giving by donating small portions of the gate proceeds to the Shriners Burn Hospitals also. We can truly make a difference in kids lives and have a blast doing it. Please help us help the kids, and let's go racing!” says Grindstaff.
Check out the new website www.texasblownfuel.com and we encourage participation from fans and racers alive via our message board. Any racers interested in more information contact any one of the three TBFA staffers. Let’s go racing! Coming to a strip near you in 2010!
