I need to replace a couple pin buttons. I have 990 pins, BME pistons.

BME won't call me back or email me about getting replacement buttons.

I suspect they are pretty special to that CH on the piston...

I'm thinking i'll have to fire up the lathe and make some?

    Any other options? Another supplier?

JE made me some. needed comp height + pin length. But they were there pistons. I remember a few years back Doug Herbert would make some. but a button is a button. no matter who's pistons they are.

I thought a button was a button also. Had some Venolia buttons and ordered new Arias pistons (same CH, pin size and ring package) but I had to machine the oil ring releif (on the buttons) by about .010". I made a holder for the lathe to do this.

Call Dale Taros at 714 739-2348.

He makes them for a lot of the piston guys.

    Tell him I sent you!

Called Dale and left a message.

    BTW, my CH is 1.26

I'd imagine they are pretty universal. I'll measure my pin length this evening.

They are a .990 pin dia.

Greg, the CH won't tell you were the oil ring is located in relation to pin. The buttons I have are for a .990 pin, the top of the pin hole comes to the top of the oil ring groove and they are for a 3/16 standard oil ring.

I'll throw them in the trailer..........blessings............Ron.

Ya, after i looked at my numbers i realized the CH has nothing to do with it. ;)

Look forward to see you up here. We've met before...you'll remember me (few can forget me). :)
