If you just one to pull out one set amount then a MSD 8168 by itself allows you to use a single retard chip. If you need more timing retard then you can add a Six Shooter to the 8168 which gives you five chips to control retard but then you need a timer such as the Electrimotion 15 channel timer made by Dave Leahy. If you want an infinite amount of digital timing control then you can use MSD 8973 Digital ProMag contrôlée. The latest and great Digital ProMag Controller is the MSD Power Grid.

Never tried it. No reason to with MSD ProMag with all the options available. It would seem to me that it wouldn't be very accurate.

I have been using an air retard system with a Supermag as there are no electronic alternatives. Mike is correct it is hard to set up with any degree of accuracy as far as the amount of time that it takes to feed the timing back in. the amount of timing to remove is quite easy.
