i have a set of both.the mallory 8mm silicone stainless wire set seem to have almost no resistance but the msd 8.5 super conductors have around 50 ohms per foot.some new spares i have are crazy high so i assume they are bad.which ones will be best on a 7 amp cirello mallory mag?...thanks Miles...

The resistance in the wires is transparent to high voltage. I much prefer the MSD. Those Mallory wires may cause a lot of interference if you have any other electronics on the car.

My tach never worked with mallory wires and auto meeter could not figure it out. Jim Oddy told me to use msd and wouldnt ya know my tach now works. No performance gain/loss noticed yet. I love the msd wires. Its your prefrence on what wires you use. They both work. But like Canter said mallory will interfear.

And then I was told by someone at Zig's that the MSD wires won't perform as well on a Mallory Super Mag as the Mallory wires. You've run both Mike with no significant performance differences? I too have a set of both and was planning on running the Mallorys.

    Cheers Miles!

Try the new 25ohm wires from Accel for the hemi. They were created for the pro stock guys. On a single mag they saved over a pound from the MSD wire set and worked better. They're spiral wound and kill RFI and they are priced WAY below MSD's.

Bill, I ran a personal best all the way to 330 before I made a driving error with the msd. I have a super mag 3 updated to 5 amps. I cant go by the wires because I went from stock iron heads to AJ alky heads. Holly smokes what a differance a top end dose. A friend of mine out of Utah ran the moroso wires and did not have any problems. He did not have electronics so I dont know if the wires interfeared or not.
