MSD Mag

    We have been running an MSD 8 plus in our blown BBC 526 . 14:71 Hi helex retro 3o lbs of boost. Thinking about putting on an MSD mag. Any thoughts . Is a 12 enough ? Probably going to upgrade the blower over the winter.

    probably won't pickup much with a mag. I'd get a 12 with the big cap. We went from a supermag 4 all the way to a 44 promag and never really burned any more fuel.

    well, i would at least get a 20, a 44 would be the ultimate. i don't think you would be happy with the 12 later on. we run a 20 with 40 pounds of boost....no problems. parts ( caps, wires, etc) last longer with a 20 as compared to a 44 also....just my 2 cents.

    use a 20 amp .....p/m a daytime phone number...so we can talk about the 20amp.
