MSD 8973 Launch Question

    Hi guys,

    I'm wondering if I'm missing something. I've run the 8973 for a couple years so I have a pretty good idea how it works BUT I must be missing something.

    I have all my Rev Limiters set which all seem to work EXCEPT the "RevLaunch".
    It worked fine last year and didn't change anything.
    I have it set to 2500 RPM (same as last year) BUT it goes to 4100 RPM (seems to be right against the converter).

    I've "Saved to MSD" about 5 times but when I run the car it still goes up to 4100.

    Any ideas?

    A couple of things. Hook up the laptop and with the ignition on and motor NOT running look at the MONITOR in the upper left quadrant of the screen. When you push and hold the transbrake button you should see RevLaunchLimiter turned on in the MONITOR. If not then the RevLaunch Limiter only works when 12 volts is applied to the "blue wire" going into the 8973. That blue wire should be hooked up to your transbrake switch so when you hold in the button there is 12 volts there. You should check and make sure that you do in fact have 12 volts on that blue wire with the button held in.
