Mike C - this is a follow up to a previous set of questions on the MSD 7530. I t/w MSD at the PRI show and it is a no go to bypass the defaults on the 2.5 seconds on the time for retarding. one has to perform a ignition curve download to get past the time default. also i asked about the #1 cylinder coding and found out that whatever plug you run the fiber optic cable on with automatically sinc the MSD. there is no need or provision to reprogram the unit to make it think (for example if you use #6) that the timing order is different. the MSD only wants a plug to read and then it knows how and when it is firing to get past any distributor/crank trigger problems.

Thats what I had found out also. Appreciate the feedback.
Remember you have to adjust on a piece of paper the firing order around what ever plug you designate as the sync plug. That plug automatical becomes the first in the firing sequence which is marked as # 1 in the MSD 7530.
