MSD 20 vs 44 Mag

Just wondering pros and cons on the two. looking to switch from super mag 3 to MSD. on 526 hemi with fuel heads in altered.

 

Just went through this same issue of what to get, a 44 or a 20. The biggest difference is the coil and control box. The 20 they are combined and the 44 separate. Seems everyone runs 44s so if you needed spare parts on race day you would most likely be able borrow stuff easier. I ended up going with a 44 myself.

A used 12 works great also. Have had quite a few that have had trouble with 44's. I know half a dozen running same old 12 they bought when they first came out. Since thay are not big ticket trick now they can be found at good deal too.

As for mag 3 vs msd.Msd everytime. As for 44 IMO its not on alky setup unless its all out deal,not sure its a must have then either. JMO
