    Lifter bore problem

Why don't you mill down the tops of the lifter bores? We have to do that with SBC sometimes.

    Mopar Mega?-Block

In my opinion after examining a friends failed Mega-Block is that it is a pretty weak piece so if you do have to run it be real careful with the timing mixture etc.
As far as the lifters go this information is from Cranes website.
Mopar Performance? Aftermarket Engine Block Bulletin
In the past year, Mopar Performance? has introduced a couple of raised cam cylinder blocks (Mega Blocks) for ?B? and Hemi V-8 applications. Although the rest of the aftermarket blocks (TFX, Keith Black, Brad Anderson, etc.) that incorporate the raised cam have the lifter bank angles changed to 48 degrees (from the standard cam location 45 degree dimension), Mopar? has taken another path. The Mega Block for the ?B? Series engines (wedge style cylinder heads) has a lifter bank angle of 47 degrees, while the Hemi Mega Block has a lifter bank angle of 50 degrees. This will obviously require new finished cam grinds and part numbers when producing camshafts for these engines.
The Mega Block?s tall lifter bores also require the use of our 400? tall lifters, 66554-16, unless the customer machines down the top of the lifter bores for guidebar clearance on our standard type roller lifters.
Although each block comes with a spec sheet that includes this information, many people may not understand the changes that will have to be made, or they may have obtained the block from another owner and didn?t receive the sheet. Please make sure that your customers are aware of the differences between these and standard blocks when obtaining camshafts or components for the Mega Blocks.
