    Hey guys.

Few weeks ago I posted a finished photo of the car:

Well we took it to Shakespeare County Raceway this last weekend and had mixed results with the new engine.

Saturday morning we took the car out, and I ran a solo, after a short burnout, staged the car and launched it off idle.

    Here is a video:

    Checkout Launch

The launch was awesome, the new wheelie bar worked a treat and off idle, I ran my personal best 60ft with the car, a 1.04 60ft, then it got out of shape, hit shake and all sorts, as can be heard by the amount of pedals I did.

Got back, checked the bearings, scuffed one and blew a crank seal. replaced it all, sounded awesome firing it up. Then as we got down the fire up road, a Pro Mod crashed into the christmas tree and embedded it and itself into the barrier just past the 60ft marker, so that ended the day.

Sunday we watched it rain all day! Then earlier we finally got one round in earlier and at 4.30, we were to race against another altered. Went to do the burnout, blipped the throttle and the car came to a abrupt halt. We went to re-fire it and the motor is seized solid... that was the end of our weekend.

So mixed results, we will diagnose why it's seized this coming week, and I'll tell you our findings. To say I was gutted is a understatement, the guy in the other lane ran a 6.70 @ 205, I was ready to give him a run for his money!!

I will keep you updated with what we find. Hopefully we haven't ruined the motor!

    Regards

    Joe
