Milking Of Oil

    I Want To Run This By Everyone And See If My Thinking Is Correct If Milking Of The Oil Occurs Its Because The Barrel Valve Is To Rich At Idle Because The Oil Doesnt Milk At Higher Rpms Is This Correct When Reading Egt Temps What Kind Of Range Is Good For Idle And At Staging Rpms What About At The Finish Linethanks Jamie

    its not just the barrell valve jamie. the blower has a lot to do with it as well. if the motor doesn't get hot during the warmup it could be to much bv, or the blower could be too loose and won't make boost. also if you start it and imediatly rev it and shut it off (like you all did at cecil county ) and don't let it build heat in the motor, the oil will look milky. a standard warm up on the stands should take around 2 minutes by the time you check the timing, run the trans through all gears and reverse. i won't even bring mine off idle until the heads are 165 degrees. also if you don't build any heat in the heads how can you expect to check the valves for proper lash?
