Yes, that would have to be one of the most horrible experiences any racer would have to endure, I have had two race car crashes, but they pale into insignificance compared to this, my heart goes out to Mike and crew. Is there any way that we can find out what the cause was and how to be better prepared other than asking Mike to send a letter to our internationally based competitors?

I read the article and was wondering...did they ever figure out why it caught fire?

mike, Im stunned at the pictures of your loss. I cant imagine your pain, bud. It makes all of us think twice about how we transport our hotrod across the country. You can bet I'll have insurance coverage out the wazoo after seeing this mess. I only hope everyone else does the same. It costs too damned much to do this and then give it up like this. Thank God everyone is ok but it sure would have been nice to see the car salvaged. Best wishes and I hope to see you back racing soon. Sincerely, Alan Bradshaw
