Snyder to Kick Off 2007 Season in Gainesville

The Snyder Motorsports/Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels Top Alcohol Funny Car with new backing from major associate sponsor Powersource Transportation, Inc. will get the season underway this weekend at the Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL. After spending last weekend at Eastern Spring Test Nationals, where the Team won the Chicago Style Showdown, they are anxious to get the 2007 season underway.

“The beginning of the year is really exciting. You are still undefeated, it is the first time we get to see all our racing friends out at the track, the car is “fresh”, the crew is really ready to go after the long lay off and we still have the anticipation of seeing what the changes we made over the winter will really do,” said driver Mick Snyder.

The back-to-back-back defending Division 3 championship Team was busy in the off-season working on the car and securing sponsorship for 2007. After signing with Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels for the 3rd straight year they were able to add a major associate sponsor to the car, Powersource Transportation, Inc. The 25 year old veteran driver and 3-time Top 10 finisher in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class, Mick Snyder, will be entering his fourth full year of competition and is hoping to make it the most successful yet.

“Evan and Latrell and all the people at Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels have been so supportive of us the last few years. We hope to do even better for them and Skip at Powersource Transportation, Inc. during the upcoming season. I can’t wait till we officially begin the Full of Fuel and Haulin’ Tour on Friday. The fans here in Florida are really supportive of our team; we want to go out there and put on a good show for all the fans and sponsors of our racing operation.”

Qualifying for the event will be on Friday and Saturday at 10:45 AM and 4:45 PM on Friday. First round of eliminations will be on Saturday at 4:45 PM and continue on Sunday after the first pro session. For up to date coverage of the event please log onto www.dragracecentral.com.
