Gainesville, FL - After a successful outing only a week earlier, Randy Meyer continued his strong performance at this past weekend's GatorNationals March 11-14 with a number 3 qualifying position and a second round finish.

With only two qualifying passes due to the rain delay, Kansas driver and team owner Randy Meyer took his A/Fuel dragster to the number 3 qualifying position with his best pass of 5.30et at 261mph.

Set to face off against Artie Allen in the first round, Allen was unable to make the call giving Meyer a solo into the second round.

Round two paired Meyer against the blown entry of Marty Thacker. Putting up a good fight, Meyer laid down a 5.42et at 262mph pass but was unable to hold off Thacker's hard charging 5.30et at 271mph to take the win over Meyer.

Although Randy's weekend ended short on Sunday, the Meyer family were still in high spirits as they turned their attention to preparing their latest race car addition to the team, a super comp dragster that will be driven by Randy's eldest daughter Megan who will try to obtain her super comp license this week at Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School.

For the Meyer A/Fuel dragster, the team will have a short three week break before attending the O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston TX April 8-11 where Randy will again pilot his way to hopefully another successful weekend.
