I've been doing a little research on these engines and I've gotta say it definitely has my interest. From the posts I've read the ones that are using this combo seem extremely satisfied with it. I'm building a new car and it is being set up for a hemi. More than likely it's going to be this time next year before I buy an engine. What I'm wondering is with the MBR stuff, what, if anything, externally is the same as a hemi? Is it a cut and weld scenario to put one in place of a hemi or can it be done with adapters or a different motor plate?
    Thanks!

I went from a BAE to MBR over the winter and the only thing I changed was my front motor plate. The rear motor plate, can and clutch all bolted right up. One thing that will change is the location of your mag and/or ignition components. The oil pump is also forward facing on the MBR vs the side pump on the Chrysler style engines.

I can live with that. Have you had a chance to run the new motor yet? If so, what do you think? The reliability and lack of valve train issues is what got me looking.

I've got about 10 runs on it. No problems to speak of. Just checked the bearings and they look new. I don't think you'll find anyone better to deal with than Bob.
