im running a kuhl standard 14-71 on my bbc what would the maximun rotor speed be on this kind of blower? 10,000 12,000 ???
was thinking or putting a 40 pulley on the bottom and a 25 on the top turning the motor 7800-8000

That would be 60% over and that may be a little much. I run mine 53% over (40 bottom/ 26 top). But I don't run the motor over 7500 which = 11475 blower rpm. 60 over @ 7800 rpm is 12480 blower rpm. I was always told to keep it under 12000.

Hopefully someone with Kuhl experience can help you, maybe they are on this forum. Otherwise I would call Kuhl and ask them.

You correct in that there is Max rpm you can spin the rotors and then you loose efficiency at an alarming rate. It is different for a high helix than a standard blower. All my data is at home and I can get it next week after I get home from ADRL race. Off the top of my head I believe high helix is around 14200, blower rpm and a standard is around 12000. Regardless of which type of blower it takes a lot more horsepower to spin them faster and also heats the air more which are both bad
