Will Race For Ribs In Reading
Marty Nothstein and ParkerTech Racing to promote Texas Roadhouse ribs

Milford, Michigan – Frank Parker will display his Texas Roadhouse 2007 Dodge Charger Top Alcohol Funny Car at the Wyomissing, Pennsylvania Texas Roadhouse restaurant on Wednesday, August 15. Parker’s driver, Marty Nothstein, will also be there to sign autographs, talk to fans about NHRA drag racing and partake of some Texas Roadhouse fall-off-the-bone barbecue ribs.

Race fans and diners can see the car, enjoy a great meal and meet Marty from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Those attending the display may get to see a television crew tape a story about Marty and the Parkers preparing for the race. For more information and call-ahead seating, dial 610-373-9600. The restaurant is located at 2803 Paper Mill Road.

Immediately following the restaurant event, Frank Parker and his dad, Dan Parker, will head to Maple Grove Raceway, in Mohnton, for the NHRA Toyo Tires Nationals, where they and Nothstein will compete for national points in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class. The team has maintained top point positions throughout the season and currently are 8th in national TAFC points and 1st in Division 3.

The genetically-linked expertise of father and son has resulted in ever increasing performance improvements in the Mopar Hemi-powered Dodge. The duo and their crew have twice provided Nothstein with an event winning race car, on top of some significant round wins. The team is looking forward to showing fans some good race action and improving their win record.

Qualifying for alcohol cars takes place at 2:00 and 5:00 P.M. Friday. The cars have one last qualifing session at 1:00 P.M. Saturday and their first round of eliminations at 4:15 P.M. Pre-race ceremonies begin on Sunday, August 19, at 10:00 A.M., and eliminations start at 11:00 A.M.

Maple Grove Raceway has a long history of record performances, including the first side-by-side four-second and 300-mph Top Fuel passes. For ticket, schedule and track information, call 610-856-7200 or visit the track website at www.maplegroveraceway.com.

Texas Roadhouse opened in 1993 and, just 14 years later, now has more than 251 locations in 44 states. In 2006, readers of Consumer Reports named Texas Roadhouse the Top Concept in its Pub/Grill category and Forbes ranked it one of the 200 Best Small Companies.
