Texas Roadhouse Again Mixes Barbeque and Drag Racing
Barbeque, drag racing and karaoke – what more could Marty Nothstein want?

Milford, Michigan – Thursday evening, July 26, the Texas Roadhouse Dodge Charger will make a special appearance at the Texas Roadhouse location in Columbus, Ohio. Driver Marty Nothstein will visit the restaurant, from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M., to meet race fans and diners, sign autographs and, maybe, take part in the usual Thursday night karaoke on the patio. The Olympic cycling gold medalist will also show off the 260 m.p.h. Dodge Charger Top Alcohol Funny Car and talk about racing on two and four wheels.

Friday, the team begins qualifying runs for the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at National Trail Raceway, in Hebron, Ohio. The Columbus Texas Roadhouse is at 5940 E. Main Street, on the east side of I-270, at exit 41 (U.S. 40). For call-ahead seating, dial 614-822-0500.

“Visiting the restaurants is fun for everyone,” said Nothstein. “The Texas Roadhouse serves up some great barbecue to racers and NHRA serves up some great drag racing to restaurant customers. We’ll have some Texas Roadhouse and NHRA items for doorprizes. We may even judge a karaoke contest and give the winner something special.” Texas Roadhouse customers who have signed up for regular bulletins and specials will receive an e-mail invitation to meet Marty, see the car and attend the race. Local radio announcements are expected to promote both events.

The ParkerTech Racing Services Dodge Charger is ready for the race. The team has steadily improved the car’s performance and is looking forward to the weekend.

As of July 23, 2007, Nothstein and the Texas Roadhouse Dodge Charger are 5th in national TAFC points and 1st in Division 3.

The first qualifying run for alcohol cars takes place at 5:00 P.M. Friday. The cars qualify again at 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. Saturday. Racing begins on Sunday, July 29, at 9:00 A.M., and the first round of alcohol eliminations kicks off at 1:00 P.M.
