    Texas Roadhouse Heads For Atlanta
Nothstein and team seeking dry weather – and a win

Milford, Michigan – The Texas Roadhouse Top Alcohol Funny Car team never even left the shop before the April 13th – 15th Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division 3 race, at Indianapolis, was called on account of rain. The unexpected spare weekend was a double-edged sword, though. Frank Parker and his crew gained extra time for preparation, but lost a little ground in the points standings, as other divisions were able to run their events.

According to team driver, Marty Nothstein, “Frank and I used the rain weekend to discuss new tune-up ideas and how to apply them on the track. Nobody likes to miss a race weekend, but this one worked to our advantage. We feel we’re better prepared for Atlanta than if we had raced at Indy.”

The team transporter left a still-rainy Michigan, on its way to the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Summernationals, in Commerce, Georgia. The April 26th – 29th Atlanta weather is supposed to be great for racing and for Texas Roadhouse barbecue.

Qualifying for alcohol-fueled competitors is on Friday at 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM, then again on Saturday at 1:30 PM. The first round of alcohol eliminations is 4:40 PM Saturday. Final eliminations kick off at 11:00 AM Sunday. For ticket, schedule and track information, call 800-884-6472 or visit the track website at www.atlantadragway.com/.

Texas Roadhouse opened in 1993 and, just 14 years later, now has more than 251 locations in 44 states. In 2006, readers of Consumer Reports named Texas Roadhouse the Top Concept in its Pub/Grill category and Forbes ranked it one of the 200 Best Small Companies.
