    The celebration of Mark Niver's life will take place Friday, July 30, at 7 p.m. at Scottsdale Airpark, 15100 N. 78th Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Racers For Christ (P.O. Box 1208, Gilbert, AZ 85299-1208) or The Phoenix Rescue Mission (P.O. Box 63005, Phoenix, AZ 85082-3005).

    What a tremendous person and what a loss. I am thinking about Mark's family and hoping that they find some comfort in the many people he touched. He helped us with some machining last year when it would have been much easier to ask us to bring the stuff later but he was not that type of person. He then defeated us in the first round. How sweet is it to do what is the absolute best by your competitor and then be able to win? The best.
    Our sport is diminished by the loss of people like this. They are a precious and finite resource which cannot be squandered. Mark was a tremendous person and our sport is diminished by his passing. I am thinking of him and his family.
