I had an air leak between my Magnesium hat the the injecter riser. We sealed it with some gasket sealer at the track and it worked ok, But I wanted to check it this winter.

    Both were NOT flat....

I lapped the Hat surface flat but of course now i have exposed mag.. I really do not want to tear the hat down and recoat. Coating was fresh, My mistake..... Is there anything other than the coatings that will protect it? Can i just spray bomb with paint the gasket surface on the hat? or will that not help seal it from corrosion?

    thanks for any input......

I spray my mag parts down with silicone spray, it sheds water pretty good. On the injector seal, unless it was really warped I would not worry about sealing it, just adjust the butterflies closed a little more to compensate for the air leaking through.Thats some of the reason for the use of the aireated nozzles on enderle injectors, is to let extra air to come in at idle.

I cleaned my mag injector very well then rattle canned it with black paint with ceramic (header paint). It held up really well. Just my experience. JW

Use the right stuff and bolt it down if it squeezes out it should be sealed. Good luck getting it off. It would be a good idea to drill & tap some jack bolt holes while it's off.
