Just switched fuel from M1 to M5 and seems like M5 needs to be about 10% richer. Its a new combo and last time out the A/F was very rich at 3.3:1 down track. I am not sure if I should just try the same tuneup since it is already rich, it might be 3.6-3.7 down track or add a couple % to be safe. Maybe add 3-4% and let her eat. Motor is a Small block 118mm turbo LS motor.

The way you make more power with M5 is it gives you the ability to burn more fuel by adding more oxygen. If you don't add more fuel then you will not make more power. You should tune to see the same AFR on M5 that you had on the M1. Is that what you are trying to do?

The other thing is that M5 burn rate is a little faster than M1 so one usually has to retard the ignition some to help stop detonation
