    I'd like to thank all you guys for being so real and honest about your racing. I'm just a fan, but I love the alcohol classes, as well as SS, Stock & Comp.

    When watching the ESPN2 coverage of you guys, it is so refreshing to hear real people just excitied about racing and winning, without all the PC schlock the pros always spout about sponsors and marketing rivalries.

    It is also great to have Tony Bartone back in the class, I laughed out loud during his second round interview, when he turned around to read the sponsor's names off of the car when they slipped his memory.

    I look forward to seeing some of you in August at Reading, thanks for being real!

    Funny thing about T-Bone. When I interviewed him at the Summitracing.com nationals for our article on comp +, it was on Saturday after Q-2. As Mr. Goodwin or Mr. Demke can confirm, Saturday was a very busy day (I saw that Randy had his hands full at the time, and was going to interview him and Daniel, but I let them work). Tony on the other hand had some spare time, so we headed into lounge of the RICK JACKSON Racing trailer and I started asking questions.

    It was very obvious that Tony is very happy to be back to running TAFC and driving for Rick Jackson. He is reunited with his 'ALTER EGO', Steve Boggs and he was very cordial with me. (Tony was my first official interview as a reporter 'on the record', and I was a bit nervous).

    He made the interview go very smoothly, and when he won the race on Sunday, he said, "HEY TIMMAH, LONG TIME NO SEE" :cool: <---that's the same look he had on his face.

    Chris Demke and his family were the same way. We hit it off so well that I now get the pleasure of writing his press releases for his team.

    The drivers, crew members, owners in the Alcohol ranks are REAL PEOPLE just like you and I. They are open, honest and genuine. It is a real pleasure to work with them.

    And here I thought it was something I said.

    Big Mike's brother was just diagnosed with brain cancer and was MIA for the weekend (which left a huge hole in our crew) so I actually had to work for a change.

    Geez....If there is a guy YOU call "BIG MIKE" he must be FREAKIN HUGE!!!

    It was great to put a face to the "LEGEND OF RANDY GOODWIN."

    We'll catch-up soon enough. Still want to write that article I was talking to you about. :cool:

    Only place I'm a legend is in my own mind, or when cleaning the toilet at the shop.

    We have a big crew and were actually knicknamed "Team Girth."

    Big Mike = 6'7" 290#

    Dan = 6'4" 380#

    RG = 6'4" 299.99#

    But then there's Daniel Oliver = 5'4" 165#

    Matt Thornton 5'5" 160#

    Stacy Oliver 5'0" weight N/A (for my own safety...LOL)

    And we wonder why T-Bone wanted back in an Alky car. Certain personalities just don't line up with corporate America.
