We have been running it for years and are very happy with it. Used in both wet and dry sump systems and bearings look good every run.

Used the 50 Plus for awhile now. We've broken a lot of stuff but none of it because of oil issues.

I have to say I'm a big believer in it after our run on Thursday. We had a lifter failure on Scott McVey's TAFC. A needle got in the oil pump and twisted the mag drive shaft off when he swapped feet, so it had virtually no oil pressure on a 5 second 1000' pass. Obviously there was some damage, some push rod damage, but what really surprised me was the main bearings looked like you could run them again. It "coppered" up 6 of the 8 rods, but none were spun or fully blackened. The motor went 10,200 in both of the shifts, so it's not like we weren't running it hard.

Before I started running the valves and caught the top end damage, when I downloaded the computer and saw the oil pressure, I thought for sure the transducer went bad. "There's no way this thing ran for 5 seconds with no oil pressure and didn't hang a rod"

I guess the Lucas "Kept that engine ALIVE."
