Looking for some racers to help out promoting our class/sport!

    I don't know if some of you have read my latest column over at DRO, but the bottom line is I'm pushing for a program to get divisional tracks give racers tickets to get some butts in the stands. If you want the in's and out's, opinions, etc, go read the column, but right now I need a few racers from each division to help set this program up.

    I already have the ball rolling for the upcoming Houston Div. 4 event. Myself and Lee Callaway are going to make a hard push in D4, I just need some people to take the ball and run with it in the other divisions.

    Im waiting to hear back from Orlando Speedworld before I continue, but I may have a nice opportunity to promote that LODRS event.

    Since I'm dating a track owner, I've sort of got an "in" for NHRA and this division. Maybe I can do some leg work over here and help our cause. I have been around the sport ALL my life and have made many friends in all the classes. Hey if I'm not driving, might as well do some good out of the seat.

    :-o, all those resources being wasted...

    Your dating a track owner and your not racing?!?! what a waste of resources... You could be testing every day... ^.^ j/k...

    Ya though, even if she doesn't want to do anything on her end let her know people want to do stuff on the outside. Maybe ask her to consider discounts or free tickets to racers who have friends they want to invite.

    Yeah,that would be nice CJ! I miss driving, but my ride is waiting for me this year. I just enjoy being at the track with all the others racers and family. I'm going to see what I can do to use my contacts and friends here in D1 to help the divisonal and open races. And if you guys and gals are reading this, be proactive and start thinking outside the box. It cannot happen by itself, you gotta lead the horse to the water...:cool:
