We use a launch control. You can set the launch to any rpm you want and control how fast the butterflies open.

This is the one we use.

It is a throttle stop hooked up backwards. You can buy it from Jeg's or
any mail order company. Also you could order the 2-way air cylinder and
electric solenoid through Grainger or any supply company. The only other
thing you need is air fittings and hose and a T/B button.

Shiftnoid #SN8800 purchased from: Contender Performance Products

    or fax 740-927-0064.

Look for a setup that is air on, air off. You can make adjustments to the opening side for track conditions. Also make sure it has enough throw for a hat. Some solonoids are for carb linkage. Bill Mitchell Products and ACD have what you are looking for

Sorry it took so long to reply, had to go camping and fishing with the fam. We use the ACD and it really works great. No need for a two step. You can adjust the launch to any rpm you want and then you can control the speed at which the butterflies open. That helps on snotty starting lines with the extra torque from the convertor.
