I have been using "air levers" , from McAmis. Recently started using Air Buttons , but I have only been down the track once with the buttons , so it's early to give a comparison

if you're considering an autoshifter make sure you have provisions to run it with a timer so it won't shortshift if it knocks the tires off. We learned the hard way.
There is a lot to be said for a manual button.

Yea but with the autoshifter you will not zing the motor as hard if you blow the tires off because it will shift.

I guess you'll have to decide if you like working on hurt engines or wrecked chassis. Our heavy roots car could spin/shake and autoshift ok but our lighter screw car instantly went to the wall as soon as it shifted into high. You could see the wheelspeed go straight up when it shifted.
Most all the fast guys with Lehey stuff have a timer incorporated so it can't shortshift early in the run.
I haven't figured out a cool way to put a timer on our bruno shifter. I'm sure a digiset could do it somehow.
