When wiring the electric solenoid lean out jet to the clutch pedal switch to bleed fuel while going wide open staging on the 2 step the jet will be bypassing while sitting at idle with clutch in waiting to stage.... will this make system too lean or hot when bypassing at idle not on 2 step?

Never been a problem. If it is then you can adjust the idle fuel mixture on the BV some.

You could add a poppet, set to open just above idle if you think it will heat up to fast. Are like Mike said, just adjust it with the BV.

You would have to be real careful using a poppet. If you has 50 psi of fuel pressure going into the lean out then if you put in a poppet at let's say 20 psi then you now only have 30 psi of pressure going through the lean out jet. This results in a greatly reduced flow on the Two Step.

Agreed, the poppet is far too inconsistent. You'll be fine with the lean-out and some fine tuning on the BV. Spike Gorr makes a very nice "slim" BV specifically for cars operating with WOT. www.gorrfuelsystems.com
