Brad I Would Say It Has To Do With Brand Of Blower Manifold And Size Of Blower And Blower Placement. If You Have A 8-71 Std On Say A Modern 13in. Opening Manifold The Rear Cylinders Say On A Bbc Or Tucked Back Away A Little Futher Than Say The Other Front Six Making 1 Thru 6 Warmer Than 7 And 8. Now If You Had A 15in. Bottom Opening 14 On A 15 In. Large Opening Manifold The Cylinders Will Probaly Be A Little Closer To The Same Nozzles. Most Blower Companys On A Standard Cast Rotor 8-71 Littlefield, blower Shop, kobelco Do A Triangle Shape In The Bottom Of The Case Not A Retro Or Delta But A Large Triangle Which Would Again Make The Rear Two A Little Cooler. You Also Could Set Back A Standard Opening Blower 13in. Over The Center Of Say A 15in. Opening Manifold And Probaly Even The Cylinders Out. If You Had A Cylinder Problem On Either End You Could Build Diverters To Go Into The Intake Plenum And Help Divert The Air To Help Balence The Cylinders As Well.
