Lash cap clearance

    AJPE Stage 3 Olds with PSI screw in Pro mod.
    Using square groove valves with conventional 7deg locks and lash caps with .025+ clearance with no failures (not many laps though), but stepping things up (blower speed etc)
    Have had a couple of differing opinions in regards to clearance from lash cap to locks.
    One says .001 to just touching (assists in transfering the load from grove?), others say more.
    Suggestions, opinions, old wife tales.

    Lash cap should not touch keeper, IMO.

    I agree, keep some clearance between the lash cap and the keepers.
