how much of the adjusting screw should be sicking out of the bottom of the rocker after the adjustment? reason im asking is that im getting ready for pushrods, and im trying to get my length just right. just the ball sticking through? the ball plus a few threads? doesnt matter, just so i have enough threads on the top end for the lock nut?........ what would you say is optimal durability wise?

Jesel say they want 1/2 to 1 1/2 complete turns out. I find that if you want just a 1/2 then you have to be super accurate on pushrod length measurement or you will not have enough adjustment. You also need to know accurately what your lash adjustment is on your motor cold to give you the correct lash on a hot motor. I measured mine at 1 turn out and and used a Manton adjustable pushrod to find the correct length then sent that adjustable pushrod to Manton. The other thing you have to take in account for is if you are going to change head gasket thickness. If you are then you maybe need to install the thinness gasket and measure it and install the thickess gasket and see if that measured pushrod still works.
