Can a Kobelco K11 Superman go straight on a manifold w/out using a set back plate since the discharge is more in the middle anyway? (nothing wrong w/ your plate Darren, just checking for clearance ) We run a AJ manifold which i believe has two sets of holes. But we have minimal clearance in the back (firewall) where our Littlefield is now. Anyone know off hand how much longer the superman is vs a littlefield 1471 relative to the back blower bolt holes?

Josh If you already have your superman , take some paper and make a template of the bottom of the blower , then lay it on the manifold.
If you dont have one , I wouldnt doubt , that with all the terrific people on this site that somebody on here would be nice enough to make you one

The length of the snout on the blower is going to be the main factor here. Yes you can put them on without too much setback as long as the front of the pie opening is not hitting the edge of the plate or the manifold. Like you said there is a built in setback because the rotors are so far back and the opening will be further back than a normal HH.

    plate

My superman used a 2.5 inch setback to clear the intake opening on a chevy. It was the same plate from regular retro blower.

I don't have a superman....i was curious if it would fit w/out modifying our firewall...we have maybe an inch of room now. I was curious if anyone knew the distance from the back blower bolt to the very back of the blower? Then I could just measure my manifold.

Remember you need enough room to fit a bag also.

Are you talking about the back blower stud hole to the furthest back of anything on the blower? Do you want it from the middle of the blower stud hole or the back edge?

Mike, yeah the back blower stud to the furthest part of the back of the blower. We're trying to figure out if it will fit w/out firewall mods. Center or edge of hole is fine.

From the middle of the rear blower stud to the tip of the small bolts that hold the small caps on the back is exactly 10".
