I have been looking into a different block. I have seen alot of KB's and several TFX's.I know the timing gears and cover are different. Allso the oil pan. Is there anything else different. We are looking to go from std deck to raised deck.So not much of my parts will enterchange anyway.I have been seeing several TFX blocks for resonable money. Most in better shape. Just want to know about parts avaibility. Are the sleeves one OD and they you bore them to your size and how big can you go on bore sizes on a tfx. What is the max stroke.Differences in 92 and 96. Thanks for any help.

I dont know of how much help I can be on this subject, but ill try. The TFX is definetly the way you want to go. Its a stronger block than the KB and as you can see is widely accesible. I know the top fuel guys are running that "super bore" package on them which i believe is a 4.46-4.5 bore sizing. As far as stroke Im not too sure.

Also if you go into the the thread below this one called "tfx block" theres some really useful information on there regarding all the generations of the TFX and all the specs i believe. Maybe the information your looking for is in there.
