    WOW!!!!! This is one monster run for a ROOTS!

    Left Lane: Dale Brand Runs 5.654/245.90, Now #1
    Best prior run: 5.767/240.98, Was #2
    Right Lane: Paul Noakes Runs 5.790/246.44, Now #2
    Best prior run: 5.754/245.36, Was #1

    Last pair, the winner needing to beat a 5.783 to take the "Last Man Standing" honors away from Cannister.

    Holy Smokes!! Brand, the current World ET Record-holder, came within 0.005 seconds of that record and leaped to the top spot on a less-than-perfect run, making an S-curve around half track when the car made a move toward the wall. Dale Brand's incremental times: 60ft-0.924 sec., 330ft-2.445, 660ft-3.682/199.61mph, 1,000ft-4.748.
