Jolly Rancher TAD Question

I have a picture from a race in East Texas in 1988. I was 11 years old so the image is not anything to write home about. The car is a Jolly Rancher sponsored TAD. I don't remember who the driver was. Can anyone help?

 

Lori Johns I would assume.

Are you sure it was a alky dragster and not a nitro digger,...

if alky most likely it was Shelly Anderson 1990/91

If it was Nitro it would have been Lori Johns T/F1988 & 91,92.
Shelly also drove T/F jolly Rancher in 1993
Kim Lahaie drove it in T/F 1989 & 90

There were a couple of different Jolly Rancher Dragsters

 

Dan Wardlow ?

 

Shelly Anderson drove TAD for awhile

Id be willing to bet it was Dan Wardlow if it was in the late 80s. If memory serves he was from Colorado.

It was definitely not Lori or Shelly. This was a TAD. The picture was taken at Hallsville Raceway in Hallsville, TX at a divisional race. No top fuelers were present at the event.

A couple of folks have said the driver was Dan Wardlow so that is most likely the correct answer.

By the way, I do remember who won the event in TAD. I'm curious to know who else may remember.

 

I had forgotten all about the fact that Kim drove for a while.

 

Looking at the picture closely I would say it's Dan Wardlow. Looking at the spacing between the capitolized letters of the first and last name, there's not too much space in-between them.

 

i know its not Shelly....her car was black and red, its not Lori johns either.

 

I'd say that gives the answer to the question. I would have never thought to look at it that way.
