The team knows that the heat will be an area of interest, as a hot race track makes for tricky conditions when trying to get the nearly 3000 horsepower to the ground.

“I am looking forward to St. Louis for many reasons,” states Jonathan Johnson. “For one, I have never been to this track and have heard so many great things about it, but more importantly, I’m ready to get back in the seat and race. I will be missing the last two days of a summer architecture studio for the race; however, my professor understands that my passion lies in racing and has been very supportive. It means a lot to me that my elders and those I look up to in architecture encourage me as much as they have, especially as a professional individual. To juggle these two lives takes quite a bit of effort and efficiency, but it always means a great deal for me to come back from project reviews with good results from both my racing and school work. Moreover, that makes me that much more motivated to have a strong weekend in St. Louis, while preparing for the Lucas Oil Nationals the following weekend in Brainerd, Minnesota!” exclaims Johnson.

“To say that Etterman Racing has had a tough few races would be an understatement; however, through it all, the team is more motivated than ever,” states George Etterman, team owner. “Everyone, David, Dickie, Genie, Katie, Jonathan, Jane and I have all been working diligently in our own areas to get ready for the fall tour we have ahead. There is a large group of cars attending the event this weekend, so it should make for some great racing. We are all optimistic and looking forward to the weekend,” concludes Etterman.

Etterman Racing is supported by great marketing partners, such as Bar’s Leaks, Rislone, Link-Belt Earthmoving and Forestry Equipment / LBX Co., Haulmark Race Trailers, Michigan Kenworth, NRC Truck Conversions, Bumper Man, Lone Star Performance Parts, VP Racing Fuels, American Racing Wheels, Goodyear Race Tires, NGK Spark Plus, Simpson Performance Products, Market Basket Food Stores, Tex-Joy Seasonings, Wheeler Truck Body, Johnson Auto Centers, and KMW Graphic Design.
