john gates memorial race barona

thanks to all the people who came to barona for the john gates memorial benefit race. saturday had great weather and tight racing. the raffle was a success and special tshirts for the event were highly praised. thanks to all the sponsors who donated gifts and services for this worthy cause. thanks to cifca for the event and donations and to the track crew for their fast response to the event. if anyone is interested the their are a few tshirts left and all proceeds goto the widow. you can contact me at nitrobandit1@yahoo.com and check on availablitiy on sizes. med.lg are $15 and xl and 2x are $20 plus shipping. thanks again will for a great site to spread the word. take a moment to remember those who we race with when they leave are truly missed.

 

Can you share any details of Saturday's event? Who won? Who was there? etc...

 

Will over Jammie in the finals 4.72 to a to quick 4.691. Powell put it into the sand trap pretty good, body junk don't know about car. Only six cars. I had a good time as both kids were there racing 330 and I cleaned up on the raffle.

yes, thanks again for contributing so much for the raffle. the clear winner taking home the grand prize and many others. everyone there had a great time (except for 1 car) and i think we made quite an impression on the fans. i tried to get a lot of people out there i knew, and it seemed to work. the kids had a great time getting pictures of them sitting in the fc i brought and all the families enjoyed themselves. thanks again . dan call
