john gates dinner

thank you for all the posts and all the people that showed up for the john gates dinner. a special thanks to staci cannon for her getting this all sorted out. a standing room only and packed house really showed how this man was honored by all. many told stories of the past and let the people there really know how much they cared for the family and john. barona raceway was there to announce a cifca dedication race with dates to be determined later. a heart fealt condolence to the family and all that knew him, as all of our fellow racers that have fallen this will take time to heal, but we will not forget them ever. we often look at are friends that surround us to help define who we are, and it was very obvious who john was as a man,father,friend,and drag racer to all who he knew. thanks again.

 

Dan, thanks for the kind words. We were overjoyed to see so many racers, friends and family come out to celebrate Dad's life Thursday night. He will be missed but not forgotten!
