    If John Force had intended to put daughter Ashley in a fuel funny car, then why didn't he start her out in a top alcohol funny car ?

    Because Darien/Meadows Lobbied the Hell out of John to Bring the Mattel/Castrol funding to Their team. Jerry wouldn't be out there otherwise.
