Jeff Veale Signs Schepel Motor Group for ’09
New McKinney Car to Debut at Indy Division Three Opener

Driver Jeff Veale, and the Veale and Brown Motorsports team have been burning the midnight oil, preparing a new Murf McKinney car for the Division Three opener at Indy. The team had planned on competing with the car they ran in ’08 and at the ’09 Gainesville event, but two weeks before the Indy event, the decision was made to start switching components over to the new McKinney chassis for the Indy opener.

In just one week, a bare chassis has had all the necessary parts bolted on and the crew has fabricated pieces to get the new car completed to its race-ready, nitro-burning A/Fuel dragster configuration. The team hopes that the new chassis, with the motor being set further back, will be more suited for battle in NHRA’s Top Alcohol Dragster class.

Veale, a resident of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, will contend at most of the Division 3 events scheduled for 2009, as well as the Division 5 event in Cordova. The team will also hit several National events during the racing season, including Joliet, Norwalk, and Indy. The team will also venture back to Martin, Michigan in May to defend their 2008 Thunder Nationals victory.

The car will continue to be based out of Lowell, Indiana and the Brown Motorsports shop. Schepel Motor Group Inc. of Merrillville, Indiana (www.schepel.com) will once again be on board with the Veale and Brown Motorsports team. They are Chicagoland’s number one Commercial Truck dealer, as well as one of the largest Buick-Pontiac-Cadillac-Hummer-GMC-Saab dealerships in the midwest. The team will have associate backing from Coating Specialties, Chi-Town Harley Davidson (www.chitownhd.com), Friction Unlimited, and Snyder Motorsports (www.snydermotorsports.com). There are also several prospective sponsorship deals in the works.
