A/Fuel Pilot Jeff Isbell Hoping to Repeat Top Alcohol Dragster Win in Vegas​

LAS VEGAS 1 - Business owner and father of two teen age daughters, Jeff "Izzy" Isbell and his Sunk'n Treasure Racing Team will travel west from the southern tip of the beautiful Rocky Mountains for their 2009 Drag Racing Season debut at the Tenth Annual SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada. Isbell is the defending champion of this event within the Top Alcohol Dragster Class.

"My team and I are ready to defend our title in Las Vegas" notes Isbell. "We experienced a dream come true race last year by winning our first national event at The Strip, and due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to reorganize and take a forced break for the 2008 drag racing season.

This weekend, Isbell is going to be tuning his teams a/fuel dragster with the help of Les Davenport by phone. Davenport has a solid baseline for Isbell to start with as they have run their career best at Vegas clocking a 5.363 where Isbell admits to lifting a little early during the run.

"We have been doing our homework with the new nitro percentage rule change and we are confident that we can hold up to our previous performance especially with the data we have from this track" adds Isbell.

Fun Fact: Isbell's racing team names came from Walt Disney's 'Pirates of the Caribbean' when he and his daughter's exited the ride in Florida and saw much of the merchandise for sale that included various sunken treasures. From there, Sunk'n Treasure Racing was brought to life.
