    A well deserving Jackie Stidham is being inducted into the Div. 4 Hall of Fame at the Div. 4 banquet Jan. 5 . One of the very best alcohol funnycar drivers ever!!! 25 yrs. in the seat of one of these things, never to have crashed or been on fire... I don't think many can make that statment. A Div. 5 director once told Jackie, I think you could get one of these things down a gravel road!!! The only reason in my opinion, that Jackie was never a World Champion somewhere in his career was he never had a major sponsor or the personal finances to compete at that level. " 6" Div.4 championships on a budget you wouldn't believe if I told you....

    More than well deserved. We miss him not driving anymore for the great competition, However, Jackie never misses a beat tuning Lee's Car, so in a way, he's still here and we're really happy for him that he is getting some of the recognition that he so greatly deserves.

    Jackie,

    Congrats on the well deserved honor. You've always been one of my heroes going back to the early 80's when yall had the Time Machine. It was really cool that yall brought that back last year and I had the pleasure of having my ass handed to me twice...but I still got to line up next to a legend.

    Along the way, whether you intended to or knew it, you became an icon and inspiration to a lot of up and coming racers trying to make it big on a small budget. I think your name goes right up there with the likes of Dale Hall when it comes to the little guy whipping up on the big budget guys.

    I wasn't there to witness you make the 5 second club, but that 5.55 in the final of the 04 All-Stars race was special.

    Not to mention I think you were a part of press release history...the press release I did for you a couple years ago in Houston...I think that was the first press release where the rep was beaten by the client...I had to do a release about you beating myself...LOL.

    I'm glad you didn't retire all the way from the sport. It wouldn't be the same without ya. Jimmy might get a few more hours sleep and there might be a few more margaritas in the blender, but it wouldn't be the same.

    Thanks for all the memories, and congratulations!

    But the problem is he made it look so easy!!!!!!!! Evertime we blew it up or hurt it,Jackie would come over,look at the mess,and point out how it could have been worse & and he had already done that.A real nice guy-Jackie & Jimmy just made running TA/FC here in Texas a lot of fun !!
