Hello everyone, I received word that Jack Burr passed away early this morning in his home. Early speculation is from a heart attack. Please include him and his family in your prayers. Jack and Mike Drake were just starting to make that funny car run, and I know he was having a lot of fun with it. Jack was partners with my dad for years and years through Pro Comp, Alcohol Dragster, and the TAFCs. He was a very smart tuner and an INCREDIBLE painter. There are many race cars out there that have Burr lettering and striping on it. Mine being one of them. Rest in Peace my friend. You will be sorely missed.

I have just started working with Jack on the car the last few races and have found him to not only to know what he was doing in respect to alcohol racing, but he had a sense of honor and humor as great as his love for racing. He will be missed.

I only knew Jack from being a member on here, but I have only heard good things. RIP and Godspeed. My condolences to the family and please post arrangements.

There will be a void in the alcohol pits without Jack there. He was a great man who raced for the love of it. He made an impact at both the drag strip and the boat drags for many years. My condolences to the family.

I was on the phone with Jack for about 45 minutes just before the Sonoma Divisional race. He had some very nice things to say to me and had a project he wanted me to work on for him. Jack was one of my true friends and I'm going to really miss him. He was a straight shooter and a genuine nice guy.

    God Bless Jack Burr.

I didn't Know Jack Burr, but I remember the Lemon and Burr TAFC that Tom Bristow drove about 10 years back. Godspeed my friend!
